RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - North Carolina's race for governor is a tight one, with Gov. Pat McCrory continuing to lead Democrat Roy Cooper, 42 to 40 percent. Libertarian Lon Cecil pulls 6 percent, with 12 percent undecided, according to new data from Public Policy Polling.
McCrory's approval rating with registered voters is split: 40 percent approve, 49 percent disapprove, and 12 percent aren't sure.
The view of Cooper is also split: 33 percent have a favorable opinion, 28 percent unfavorable, and 39 percent aren't sure.
The margin of error in the poll is plus or minus 3.4 percent.
