RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - North Carolina's unreserved cash balance stands at $1,158,609,141.57 as of March 24, 2016.

The state began the week -- March 21 -- with $2,533,536,843.55 in the account.

Receipts of $1,013,604,056.20 were added to the coffers from tax and non-tax items. Other receipts totalled $306,941,935.89.

Disbursements were:

-- $395,256,934.97 for payroll

-- $34,569,780.05 for state aid

-- $161,726,716.29 for Medicaid/other provider payments

-- $161,461,654.21 for general operating.
