RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The committee responsible for reviewing coal combustion residuals surface impoundment classifications and closure plans and making recommendations on rules related to managing coal combustion residuals has scheduled its first meeting for November 14.
The nine-member commission's initial gathering will be an orientation session focusing on the legal requirements, business logistics and coal ash subject matter for the new commission and staff.
The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. in the Friday Center in Chapel Hill.
