RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - North Carolina's second-highest appeals court has released a slate of new opinions ranging from double jeopardy to motor vehicle laws.

After being placed in lawful possession, the buyer of a residence at a forelcosure sale may not dispose of personal property in the residence for ten days. Conversion-actual damages-nominal damages. if a plaintiff proves her conversion claim but fails to prove actual damages, she is entitled to nominal damages
