RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The Association of Defense Communities and the Defense Communities Caucus has named the Wayne County city of Goldsboro one of 10 “Great American Defense Communities” in the nation.

Goldsboro is home to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

A committee selected Goldsboro for its efforts to improve the quality of life for service members, including education, job opportunities, housing, family support during deployments and community appreciation.
