RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - North Carolina's manufacturing industry is gaining more jobs, thanks to a plan by Nutec to construct a new facility in Huntersville.

Over the next three years, the firm is expected to create 60 jobs as part of a $19.2 million expansion that includes a new 62,500 square foot plant.

Nutec is headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico and operates plants around the world. It produces high temperature insulation fibers used in the fire protection, metal, glass, automotive and petroleum industries.

The project was made possible in part by a performance-based grant from the One North Carolina Fund of up to $100,000. The One NC Fund provides financial assistance through local governments to attract business projects that will stimulate economic activity and create new jobs in the state. Companies receive no money up front and must meet job creation and investment performance standards to qualify for grant funds.

These grants also require and are contingent upon local matches.
