RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Kernersville resident Eric Morgan has been a appointed Superior Court Judge in his home county of Forsyth. He will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Superior Court Judge Ronald Spivey.
Gov. Pat McCrory made the appointment Monday, citing Morgan's experience and ethical standards.
Morgan had a general civil practice in Kernersville prior to his appointment. Prior to owning his own practice, Morgan was a partner with Wells Jenkins Lucas & Jenkins and an associate at Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice.
Morgan raduated from Reynolds High School and received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. He was admitted to the State Bar in 1991. He is a law and administration instructor at Forsyth Technical Community College, as well as a CLE instructor in landlord tenant and personal injury law.
