Job Watch: Mecklenburg County Set For Nearly $14 Million Investment From Manufacturing Firm PDF Print E-mail

RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - YG-1 America, Inc. will locate an advanced manufacturing operation in Mecklenburg County. The move will create more than four dozen jobs as part of a $13.8 million investment over the next three years in Charlotte, according to Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker.

 
The average annual wage will likely be more than $59,831 plus benefits. The Mecklenburg County average annual wage is $59,046.
 
“Jobs are the key to thriving communities,” said Secretary Decker in a statement. “We thank YG-1 America for this key investment in Mecklenburg County, and look forward to working closely with them for years to come.”
 
YG-1 America, Inc. is a subsidiary of YG-1 Co., Ltd., which is among the fastest growing companies in the advanced tool manufacturing industry. It produces numerous instruments including drills, taps, end mills, spade drills and rotary tooling. The company exports to 53 countries and has manufacturing partners in the United States, Ireland, South Korea and China.
