Four Appointed To Local Judicial Posts PDF Print E-mail

RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Four legal professionals have been appointed to judicial posts by Gov. Pat McCrory. The appointments are:

 
-- John Clark Reaves (Cumberland County) - Reaves previously served as assistant district attorney for the 12th Prosecutorial District. He is a former partner at the law firm of Reaves & Reaves, PLLC. Reaves is also a former associate at the Allen Pittman Law Firm. He has been appointed to serve as a district court judge in the 12th Judicial District. He is replacing Judge Kimbrell Tucker, who has resigned. 
 
-- Randle L. Jones (Guilford County) - Jones is the former mayor of Stokesdale, NC, where he also worked as an attorney in private practice prior to his appointment. He has served as assistant district attorney for Prosecutorial District 17A and as assistant public defender for Prosecutorial District 18. He is replacing Judge Sherry Alloway, who has retired. 
 
-- Christy E.Wilhelm (Cabarrus County) - Wilhelm was most recently a partner with Hartsell and Williams, P.A. She has served as a law clerk and research assistant for both Chief Judge John C. Martin, North Carolina Court of Appeals and for Chief Judge Sidney S. Eagles Jr., North Carolina Court of Appeals. She has been appointed to serve as a district court judge in the 19A Judicial District. She is replacing Judge Marty McGee, who has resigned. 
 
-- Clifton H. Smith (Catawba County) - Smith served as chief assistant district attorney for the 25th Prosecutorial District. Prior to this he was the assistant district attorney for that same district. Smith is also a former attorney at the firm of Pendleton, Pendleton & Deaton. He has been appointed to serve as a district court judge in the 25th Judicial District. He is replacing Judge Suzanne Owsley, who has retired.
