RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - First Lady Michelle Obama discussed the need for arts education for children, telling an audience Tuesday that the evidence is clear on the value of arts.

"Kids who get involved in the arts and humanities, they have higher grades.  They have higher graduation rates.  They have higher college-enrollment rates," said the First Lady in her remarks to the 2015 National Arts and Humanities Youth Program awards audience.

Mrs. Obama's full remarks can be found at whitehouse.gov.
