RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - North Carolina is joining a dozen states in an initiative to promote the use of openly licensed educational resources. The effort is called #GoOpenNC.

“This initiative continues the tremendous progress we’ve made in recent years with Home Base, our ecosystem for digital tools and resources ” said Superintendent of Public Instruction June Atkinson in a statement. “Helping educators take greater advantage of open educational resources advances our goals to keep pace with teaching and learning in the digital age.”

Openly licensed education resources are free to use with no permission required.
