RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Richard Parks, a law enforcement veteran of 22 years, has been appointed to the task force that provides guidance to the Center for Safer Schools.

A Nash County resident, Officer Parks has actively supported many organizations including My Sister's House, Reach Out Rocky Mount, Kids 4 Change, Young Professionals Network, and the Governor's Youth Advisory Council.  

The group he joins is also tasked with recommending future policy and legislative action that is needed to improve school safety in North Carolina.
