To recognize Veterans Day, WPTF News Morning Host Brian Freeman joins host Barlow Herget to remember two WWII veterans, their fathers, who both landed on Omaha Beach, Normandy, France, on June 6, 1941. Like so many of that generation, they came home and went to work. Interestingly, their war, the largest ever, was the last to be memorialized on Washington's mall. |

Author and veteran Democratic political consultant Gary Pearce says he has a gut feeling that's not good about President Obama's chances in North Carolina in next year's election. Pearce tells Exclusive Host Barlow Herget that Mr. Obama's best chance now is to "tear down" his opponent.
