To recognize Veterans Day, WPTF News Morning Host Brian Freeman joins host Barlow Herget to remember two WWII veterans, their fathers, who both landed on Omaha Beach, Normandy, France, on June 6, 1941.  Like so many of that generation, they came home and went to work.  Interestingly, their war, the largest ever, was the last to be memorialized on Washington's mall.

Democratic Congressman Brad Miller of the 13th District has correctly predicted the crash of the housing market since its outset and he tells host Barlow Herget that 10 million more foreclosures are coming.  He also describes the people he has met at the Wall Street protest rallies and worries that without a jobs bill, the economy will fall into another recession.

Author and veteran Democratic political consultant Gary Pearce says he has a gut feeling that's not good about President Obama's chances in North Carolina in next year's election.  Pearce tells Exclusive Host Barlow Herget that Mr. Obama's best chance now is to "tear down" his opponent.  On state politics, Pearce gives Republican House Speaker Thom Tillis good marks for his statewide tour to answer questions about the Republican budget, and Pearce explains the political thinking behind placing the anti-gay marriage amendment on the May 8 Primary Election rather than November's general election.
