More candidates have declared for the vacant third congressional district seat vacant becuase of the death of longtime congressman Walter Jones. Dr. Greg Murphy who represents Pitt Couinty in the NC House and journalist Jeff Moore are the latest contender to declare their runs. is the latest contender.
Other candidates for the seat include Representatives Phillip Shepard and Michael Speciale, State Republican Party Chairwoman Michelle Nix, and Marine Combat Veteran Phil Law.
