Vice President Joe Biden will be in Raleigh on Sept. 12 for a fundraiser sponsored by the Democratic Governors Association. The event will be private and not open to the public.
 
The money raised will finance campaigns like  North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper's bid to unseat incumbent Republican Governor Pat McCrory.
