Attorney General Roy Cooper has launched his first statewide campaign TV ad in the race for governor.

 

The spot portrays the Democratic candidate as a leader on consumer protections, public education and pursuing sexual predators. 

 

A recent report said 97 percent of the money being spent on behalf of Cooper and Gov. Pat McCrory so far has come from organizations outside the campaigns, mostly from the political left. Cooper’s recent ad buy occurred after the report by the Center for Public Integrity was issued.
