RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Texas Sen. Ted Cruz was crushed by Donald Trump Tuesday in Indiana's Republican primary election, prompting Cruz to suspend his campaign. He told supporters he no longer sees a path to the nomination.

Trump won at least 51 of the 57 delegates available in Indiana. He now has 1,047 of the 1,237 needed to be the party's presidential nominee.

John Kasich is still in the race. Indications are he will stay even though he has only 153 delegates.

On the Democratic side, Bernie Sanders beat Hillary Clinton. Still, Clinton is well on her way to the party's nomination, with 2,202 of the 2,383 delegates needed to take the nomination.
