RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - A rematch between the 2012 candidates for Lt. Governor is proving to be a fierce battle according to new polling data from Public Policy Pollling.

Republican Dan Forest beat Democrat Linda Coleman in 2012 by roughly 8,000 votes. The new PPP poll shows Coleman leading Forest, 36 to 33 percent.

Libertarian J.J. Summerell draws 6 percent, with 25 percent of registered voters undecided.

The margin of error in the poll is plus or minus 3.4 percent.
