RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Democrat Hillary Clinton beat rival Bernie Sanders in North Carolina Tuesday with a 14 point margin over the Vermont senator, while Donald Trump squeezed by his Republican rival, Ted Cruz, with a four point win. Clinton won 55 to 41 percent. Trump beat Cruz 40 to 36 percent.
On the Democratic side, "No Preference" pulled 3 percent, Martin O'Malley won 1 percent, and Roque Rocky De La Fuente garnered 0.3 percent of the vote.
On the Republican side, John Kasich drew support from 13 percent of voters, with Marco Rubio pulling 8 percent.
More than 2.3 million North Carolinians cast ballots in the primary election. That's 35.34 percent of registered voters.
