RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Six weeks prior to North Carolina's primary election, House budget writer Nelson Dollar is already facing a media barrage from primary opponent Mark Villee.

Dollar and Villee are Republicans. Dollar has represented Wake County's House District 36 for six terms. He is Senior Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee and Chairman of the Joint Legislative Oversigiht Committee on Medicaid and NC Health Choice.

Villee calls himself the "clear conservative choice" and casts Dollar as a big spender. Dollar counters that Villee "is desperate."
