RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The campaign to re-elect Gov. Pat McCrory reports it raised $2.6 milllion for the governor's re-election effort in the second half of 2015, boosting its cash-on-hand to more than $4.1 million.

"This puts us well beyond what Governor Perdue raised by this point – before she decided not to run for re-election in 2012. During the same time period in 2011, Governor Perdue raised $1.3 million and had $2 million on hand," according to the email to supporters from lead campaign strategist Chris LaCivita.

Campaign reports are due Friday.

McCrory faces fellow Republicans Robert Brawley and Charles Moss in the March 15 primary race.

Democrats running in the primary are Roy Cooper and Ken Spaulding.
