Open Attorney General's Seat Draws Four Candidates Print

RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - No matter who wins the 2016 election for North Carolina Attorney General, it will be a new face and leader in the job. Four candidates have filed for the seat, according to the state Board of Elections.

Democratic incumbent Attorney General Roy Cooper is running for governor.

The candidates, two Democrats and two Republicans, are:

-- Josh Stein (D)
-- Marcus Willliams (D)
-- Buck Newton (R)
-- Jim O'Neill (R)
