RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Former Wake County legislator Deborah Ross is featured in a new Politico.com piece in which she indicates that national Democrats will ramp up their interest in the race to unseat Republican Richard Burr from the U.S. Senate.

In the story, which features Ross's responses to particular questions, there is this exchange:

On the North Carolina Senate race likely being a lower priority for Democrats nationally: “For now. I’ll just leave those two words for you, for now.”

Ross faces fellow Democrats Chris Rey and Kevin Griffin in the March 15 Democratic primary, but sounded confident that she will prevail.

“I do not see a primary as a chance to divide myself from the people who I’m running against. I want them on my team the next morning," according to Politico.com.
