RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - He's a favorite of the conservative wing of the Republican Party, and now he's coming to North Carolina.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker will be in Matthews Monday at 10:15 a.m. for a campaign stop that's part of southern swing.

Walker spent the weekend in Tennessee and Alabama, and will head to South Carolina following his Matthews stop.

The latest data from Public Policy Polling shows Walker's support sliding in North Carolina. He's now at 6 percent with the GOP. Last month he was at 12 percent.
