RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - National Journal is reporting that N.C. Transportation Secretary Tony Tata may challenge Republican Rep. Walter Jones for the 3rd District GOP nomination.

Jones has morphed into an anti-war congressman in a military-heavy district. Tata is a retired Army general. He is also the author of military thrillers and a frequent expert guest discussing military affairs on cable TV.
