RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Democrat Clay Aiken is lashing out at the woman who defeated him in last year's race for the 2nd District seat in Congress.

Multiple media outlets report that Aiken called Ellmers several vulgar names in an interview with radio host Howard  Stern and in his cable reality show, "Runner-Up." According to thehill.com, the words include "bitch," "idiot," and  a slang term for the female anatomy.

"Runner-Up" is a four-part series that documents Aiken's loss to Ellmers in 2012.

Ellmers' office said the comments illustrate "why he is a runner up."
