RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - In an interview this week, former North Carolina Sen. Kay Hagan would not end speculation that she may again run for elective office, telling Here & Now's Jeremy Hobson, "I'm not saying yes and I'm not saying no." The full interview can be found at wbur.org.

The Democrat has blamed her loss to Republican Thom Tillis on money in politics.  Hagan reportedly spent $24 million on the campaign while Tillis spent less than half of that. The statistics come from the Center for Responsive Politics.

Hagan is teaching at Harvard University. Her class is focused on money in politics.

The political chattering class has speculated since her 2014 loss that Hagan might challenge Republican Sen. Richard Burr in 2016.
