RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - In his new book "Believer," former Barack Obama political advisor David Axelrod paints a less than flattering picture of John and Elizabeth Edwards.

Reporting by McClatchy says Axelrod's wife brought up questions about the couple when she and David met them in 2003. Axelrod was a consultant to the Edwards presidential campaign in 2004.

Axelrod also writes that Mrs. Edwards wrote "nasty" emails, though the public didn't see that side of her.
