RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Campaign Finance reports show Attorney General Roy Cooper having raised $310,000 for the final six month sof 2014, leaving him with about $1.5 milllion cash on hand.
Cooper, a Democrat, is widely expected to challenge Republican Gov. Pat McCrory for the office in 2016.
Democrat Ken Spaulding has already declared himself a candidated for the Democratic Party's nomination. He has $61,000 on hand, according to reports.
The governor is raising even more money. Reports show McCrory pulling in $554,000 for the second half of 2014. He reportedly has $1.6 million cash on hand.
