RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - He's been serving as North Carolina Senate Leader since 2011, and it looks like Phil Berger will serve another term. This week, the Senate GOP Caucus decided to nominate Berger again when the legislature convenes in January.
Republicans hold 34 of the 50 seats in the Senate chamber. Berger is expected to easily take the top job when the vote occurs.
Berger would serve with Rep. Tim Moore of Cleveland County, who is likely to become the leader of the North Carolina House.
