Real Clear Politics Polling Average: Hagan + .7 Percent Over Tillis Print

RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - As Election Day dawned, Sen. Kay Hagan held a sliver of an edge over Thom Tillis in the race for the U.S. Senate. An average of polls released by Real Clear Politics (RCP) showed Democrat Hagan up by less than 1 percent -- .7 percent -- over her Republican rival.

Libertarian Sean Haugh is also in the race, pulling between 2 and 7 points, depending on the poll.

The RCP average factors in polling from eight firms that conducted surveys between mid-October and November 3.
