RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Patriot Majority USA has purchased a major TV ad blitz with an anti-Thom Tillis ad that associates the Republican U.S. Senate candidate with conservative donors David and Charles Koch.
The 30-second began airing Tuesday and will continue for two weeks, according to the Associated Press.
The group also ran an anti-Tillis ad earlier this year.
Tillis, the North Carolina House Speaker, is seeking to unseat Democratic incumbent Kay Hagan.
Factcheck.org reports that Patriot Majority USA has Democratic/liberal leanings and was formed under another name in 2005 by Craig Varoga, a Democratic political strategist.
Varoga is reportedly chief strategist for Senate Majority PAC, the group tasked with electing/re-electing Democrats to the U.S. Senate.
