RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - An IRS employee's devotion to President Barack Obama's 2012 re-election has earned the worker a 100-day suspension.

Politico reports that the unnamed employee was disciplined for violating the Hatch Act, a federal law that prohibits employees from promoting political candidates while on duty in a federal government job.

The newspaper reports the employee acknowledged campaigning for Obama's re-election while talking to callers to the IRS help line.
