Cooper Vetoes Two Bills Print

Governor Roy Cooper has vetoed the Elections Security and Transparency Act. Governor Cooper shared the following statement on his veto of Senate Bill 486: "Continued election meddling for partisan advantage weakens public confidence. Judges’ races should be free of partisan labels." 
 
He also vetoed Senate Bill 757, Various Court Districts Changes. 
 
Gov. Cooper shared the following statement on his veto of Senate Bill 757: The legislative attempts to rig the courts by reducing the people's vote hurts justice. "Piecemeal attempts to target judges create unnecessary confusion and show contempt for North Carolina’s judiciary."
