The North Carolina Senate unanimously confirmed former Durham representative Larry Hall as the state's military and veterans affairs secretary. 

 

The confirmation comes after Hall appeared before a Senate committee under subpoena.  

 

Governor Roy Cooper is fighting a law passed in special session, that requires Senate confirmation of cabinet appointees. A three-judge panel has heard arguments on the lawsuit.
