RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Acting Secretary Kathryn Johnston has been appointed permanent head of the state Department of Administration. She has been interim leader since February.
 
She previously served as Budget Director for the City of Wilmington.

Johnston is a North Carolina native and earned an undergraduate degree from UNC-Greensboro where she double majored in Economics and Political Science.

She also earned a Master's Degree in Public Administration from N.C. State University.
