RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Patrick Roberts has been appointed to the state Ethics Commission and Jane Finch has been re-appointed. The announcement was made Thursday by Gov. Pat McCrory.

Roberts is the founding attorney of Roberts Law Group, PLLC, a criminal defense law firm with offices in Raleigh, Greensboro, and Charlotte. He served as an Assistant District Attorney in three North Carolina jurisdictions before founding his criminal defense practice.

He is a Republican. Statute requires the governor to appoint someone from his party to this seat.

Jane Finch, a Democrat, has been reappointed to her seat on the commission. Finch has a long history of service to the commission and its predecessor. She served as a clerk on the N.C. Court of Appeals for the Honorable Harry C. Martin.

State statute requires the governor to fill the seat with someone from the opposite political party.
