RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The state entity created to market North Carolina to job creators has announced it will be part of the Furniture Manufacturing and Supply show (FMC China) in Shanghai.

A letter signed by Rick Hill, Director of International Trade for the organization, outlines the details.

Good Afternoon,

I'm reaching out to you today to let you know that the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) is participating in the Furniture Manufacturing and Supply show (FMC China) in Shanghai. The show runs September 9-12, 2015. We will be participating in the pavilion sponsored by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), but participation is open to companies anywhere in North Carolina.

Companies operating in Appalachian counties will continue to benefit from the ARC grant that pays for half of the booth cost. Companies in other parts of the state are eligible to participate in the pavilion without the ARC grant. Travel assistance is available for eligible North Carolina small businesses.

FMC is the largest show in China for suppliers of wood, woodworking machinery, upholstery and hardware. We have participated successfully with ARC at this show for many years. As evidence of this success, most companies return to the show year after year to present their products to furniture manufacturers, engineers, and designers from China and countries throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
