Connect NC Bond Proposal Includes $112 Million For State Parks and N.C. Zoo Print

RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The $1.5 billion infrastructure bond being proposed by Gov. Pat McCrory includes $112 million to replace, restore, and renovate nearly 30 state parks, as well as the North Carolina Zoo.

The sister bond is roughly $1.5 billion for roads.

The General Assembly is considering whether to approve putting the bonds before voters in October or November.

The parks included in the infrastructure bond are:

Grandfather Mountain State Park
Stone Mountain State Park
Mount Jefferson State Park
South Mountain State Park
Lake James State Park
Yellow Mountain State Park
Mount Mitchell State Park
Mayo River State Park
Crowders Mountain State Park
Morrow Mountain State Park
Singletary Lake State Park
Lake Waccamaw State Park
Lumber River State Park
