State Flags at Half-Staff To Honor Former Lumbee Tribe Chairman Jimmy Goins Print

RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - North Carolina flags at state facilities have been lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Thursday. This order is in memorial of former Lumbee Tribal Chairman Jimmy Goins, who passed away several days ago.

Goins served two tours of duty in Vietnam and became the leader of the Lumbee people following his service. He served ad Tribal Chairman from 2004 to 2010.
