RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Four bills have become law after being presented to, and signed by, Gov. Pat McCrory. The bills are:

HB 91: A study bill directing the North Carolina Department of Transportation to examine ways to prevent the misuse of handicapped parking placards.

HB 358: Allows schools to be awarded A-F school performance grades based on a 15-point scale, providing a consistent benchmark for student achievement for state schools.

HB 601: Allows for the sale of deer skins by hunters or meat processors. Current law does not allow wildlife, whether whole or in part, to be sold in North Carolina. This legislation will help meat processors who are left with deer skins after processing deer for hunters.

HB 706: Requires the building code council to modify certain building requirements related to open air cabins. A rustic cabin, defined by a single story, three walls, 20 percent screened openings and no heating or cooling systems, are required to have two exits.
