RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - A new state government website has been created to help inform the public about the $2.85 billion bond package proposed by Gov. Pat McCrory for transportation and infrastructure projects.

www.connect.nc.gov. went live this week.

“This site will serve as a central point for our citizens to learn about our plan to connect North Carolina through statewide investments in transportation, public health, education, parks and our military,” said the governor in a statement.. “Today, we are benefiting from the investments made by our parents and grandparents. Now is the time for us to make the investments that will benefit North Carolinians for generations to come.”  
 
The governor says no tax increase will be required.

The legislature must approve putting the two bonds on the ballot for voters to decide yes or no.
