RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The board that ensures the public is protected from unprofessional, improper, unauthorized and unqualified use of certain titles by those who practice marriage and family therapy will seat new members.

The appointees' terms are for four years on the North Carolina Marriage and Family Therapy Licensure Board.

The new members are:

Tamara Whitten (Pitt County) - Whitten is a licensed marriage & family therapist (LMFT) and certified family life educator in Greenville.

Dr. Jenny Haines (Mecklenburg County) - Haines is a LMFT and LPC based in Matthews, NC. Additionally, she is the clinical director for the Pfeiffer Institute of Marriage and Family Therapy.

Sherman Childers (Cabarrus County) - Childers is the director of HR and Corporate Education and Manager/Training and Development with Philips Medical Systems North America. This is a reappointment.
