RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Wake County resident Christopher Loutit has been nominated by Gov. Pat McCrory for appointment to the North Carolina Industrial Commission. The North Carolina General Assembly must approve the appointment for a six-year term.

Loutit is the chief deputy commissioner for the organization and previously was the administrator of the Industrial Commission's operations, overseeing 160 employees. Before working for the Industrial Commission, he was partner at Johnson, Lambeth & Brown, Attorneys at Law in Wilmington.

The Industrial Commission administers a range of workers' compensation programs.
