RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Following a gas tax compromise announced by state legislative leaders, in which the state portion of the gas tax will drop from 37.5 cents to 36 cents per gallon, Gov. Pat McCrory issued the following statement. Another penny would be eliminated next year and then another in the summer of 2016.
