Ray Grace Re-Appointed Commissioner of Banks Print

RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Ray Banks will serve another term as North Carolina's Commissioner of Banks, thanks to a re-appointment by Gov. Pat McCrory. He was first appointed to the job by McCrory in 2013 and was originally appointed by Gov. Beverly Perdue.
 
Grace served as Chief Deputy Commissioner of Banks prior to becoming the Acting Commissioner, and as the Deputy Commissioner before that. He began his career as a commercial bank examiner.  
 
Assets under his supervision were more than $240 billion as of September 2014, according to state data.
