RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - State legislative leaders have given their members deadlines for legislation planned for introduction during the new session.

House filing deadlines:
-- February 25 for bills recommended by study commissions
-- March 18 for bills recommended by state agencies
-- April 1 for local bills
-- April 8 for public bills and resolutions; not appropriations or finance
-- April 15 for public bills; appropriations and finance

Senate filing deadlines:
-- March 11 for local bills and resolutions
--- March 26 for public bills and resolutions
