RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The North Carolina Department of Administration and the North Carolina Division of Veterans Affairs will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Wayne County.

Scheduled speakers include Department of Administration Secretary Bill Daughtridge, Jr.; US Representative Walter B. Jones, Jr.,  and Assistant Secretary for Veterans Affairs Ilario Pantano.

The event will take place at 2 p.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road in the Wayne County town of Elroy.
