August 12, 2014
NC Commission of Indian Affairs – The NCCIA Recognition Committee will meet from 10:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. in the Governor’s Crime Commission Offices, 1201 Front Street, Raleigh. The purpose of the meeting is to review the state recognition process and review and discuss genealogical, vital records, and membership information submitted by the petitioning group “Tuscarora Nation of North Carolina.” Please contact Elk Richardson at 919-807-4444 for more information.

NC Council for Women – The Council will meet from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the 5th Floor Conference Room, DENR Building, 217 West Jones Street, Raleigh. The purpose of the meeting is to receive a review of the Status on Women in Robeson County event, national Association of Commission for Women convention, Enough domestic violence awareness campaign and a legislative update. State Ethics Commission – The Commission will meet from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Capehart-Crocker House, 424 North Blount Street, Raleigh.  The purpose of the meeting is to consider the imposition of possible fines for noncompliance with the Statement of Economic Interest filing requirements. The Commission may also hear progress and other reports and address such other business as comes before it, including the consideration of any formal advisory opinions and complaint inquires. The consideration of advisory opinions and complaints is confidential under the State Government Ethics Act and must take place in closed session. Human Relations Commission – The Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission will meet from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. via teleconference. NC License to Give Trust Fund Commission – The Commission will meet from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Carolina Donor Services, 3621 Lyckan Parkway, Durham. The purpose of the meeting is to review, discuss and vote on grant applications. These applications were received for consideration to further the mission of the License to Give Trust Fund Commission as it relates to organ, eye and tissue donation education, and awareness and advance care planning.
