N.C. Court Of Appeals Issues Slate Of Rulings PDF Print E-mail

RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The North Carolina Court of Appeals issued three rulings Tuesday, covering zoning, personal jurisdiction, and injury to employees.

 
The cases are available at http://appellate.nccourts.org/opinions/. They are:
 
-- Atkinson v. City of Charlotte, (13-1226) 
Zoning amendments; N.C. Gen. Stat. Section 160A-383.
 
-- Graven v. N.C. Dep't of Pub. Safety, (14-6) 
arising out of or in the course of employment; employees injured while traveling to social event
 
-- Meyer v. Race City Classics, LLC, (13-1371) 
Enforcement of foreign judgment, specific jurisdiction, personal jurisdiction
 
The Court also ruled on five cases with unpublished opinions. They are:
 
-- Jacokes v. APM Builders, Inc., (13-1329) 
 
-- State v. Atkins, (13-1242) 
 
-- State v. Mead, (14-3) 
 
-- State v. Parker, (13-1381) 
 
-- State v. Walker, (13-1356)
